| dc.description.abstract | 2.500 Mauritanian Arabic manuscripts comprising some 300.000 folios were collected over a seven-year period. Awaiting the return of peace to the Lebanon to make possible an in-depth catalogue of the largely unknown texts stored there, a short-entry catalogue and index have been compiled as an interim measure. Arabic was entered in straight roman transcription, and the order of the Arabic alphabet was used as the basis for sorting. | eng |
